A brave little hare bounds off on his path. All senses engaged, he's aware of possible danger but optimistic as he heads into the great unknown.
These hare drawings are loosely based on photographs by British wildlife photographer Graham Bannister. It's a pleasure to draw from Grahams photos -he is so unobtrusive and so good at capturing the animals mood and motion. Hares have so much personality and energy and lend themselves to the softness of charcoal so well.
16" x 20" Charcoal drawing on acid-free, archival paper matted and framed behind plexiglass-glass.
